Implantology and oral surgery

IMPLANTOLOGY

Dental implants represent a long-term solution for replacing missing teeth, allowing patients to regain both chewing function and aesthetics. They are titanium screws that are surgically placed into the jawbone, where they fuse with the bone over a period of 3–5 months. After successful healing, a prosthetic restoration (crown, bridge, or denture) is attached to the implant, providing a natural look and feel.

In our daily practice, we use premium Ankylos implants by Dentsply Sirona, with which we achieve a success rate of approximately 99%. The longevity and reliability of the Ankylos implant system are the reasons why we have never changed this system.

We take impressions for prosthetic restorations using an intraoral scanner (Primescan, Dentsply Sirona), making the entire process fully digitalized within our own dental laboratory. This approach is far more precise and significantly more comfortable for the patient.

To ensure the most comfortable experience possible, special attention is given to painless dental procedures. Premedication, meaning the administration of medication before treatment, helps reduce fear and discomfort. Combined with local anesthesia, most procedures and postoperative recovery are completely painless. This significantly reduces patients’ fear of dental treatments.

In more complex cases, especially in patients with complete tooth loss, we collaborate with an external surgeon specialized in implantology. One of the most well-known methods is the All-on-4 concept, which enables the fabrication of a fixed prosthetic restoration within 24–36 hours.

To prevent bone loss and accelerate painless healing after tooth extraction, we use three different methods depending on the desired outcome:

  1. Application of artificial bone graft material – OsteoBiol GTO
  2. PRGF (Plasma Rich in Growth Factors)
  3. Application of collagen membranes that stimulate bone and soft tissue regeneration.

The combination of advanced technology, high-quality materials, and an individualized approach to each patient enables optimal results in modern dental medicine. Today, implantology is not only a functional solution, but also an aesthetic standard that significantly improves patients’ quality of life.
